Stay Bookd (staybookd.ca) · Effective 2026-07-09
Stay Bookd provides missed-call text-back service to Canadian businesses. This policy covers both our business customers ("you") and your callers whose information we process on your behalf. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
From you (the business owner): name, email, cell number, business details you enter (services, hours, service area), and payment card details (held by Stripe — we never see or store card numbers).
From your callers, on your behalf: their phone number, the fact that they called, and the text conversation between them and your assistant, including any booking details they share (name, address, requested time). We process this as your service provider so you can serve your customer.
To run the service: answer missed calls by text, take bookings, notify you, bill you, and show you your own activity dashboard. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we do not use your callers' information for advertising.
Trusted providers, each bound by their own safeguards: Twilio (calls and texts), Stripe (payments), Clerk (login), Anthropic (the AI that writes assistant replies), and Neon/AWS (database hosting). Some of these providers process data in the United States; by using the service you consent to that cross-border processing. We never send data to providers outside Canada/US.
Callers receive texts because they called your business (implied consent under CASL). Every conversation identifies your business, and anyone can reply STOP at any time — we suppress that number immediately and keep it suppressed.
We keep account and conversation data while your account is active and for 90 days after cancellation, then delete it. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.
You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, or withdraw consent, by emailing [email protected]. We respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest; carrier credentials are additionally encrypted at the application layer; access is limited to the operators of Stay Bookd.
If this policy changes materially we will email account holders before the change takes effect.
